Programme Note

Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!

—Lewis Carroll, from Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, 1872

In Vancouver, BC, on January 18, as part of Music in the Morning’s Family Musik series, Rob Kapilow, a chorus of young people, and choreographer Matt Kent’s Pickle Shoes Dance Company galumphed the himbledy-jimbledy of Lewis Carroll’s uffish tale, Jabberwocky, into a new snicker-snack.
