Composer note:
This is my very first piece for organ. I have to admit that I don’t know anything about the organ or how it works. But I am very curious. For my first outing I wanted to make something that reminded me of real organ music, so I looked at a lot of scores. When it came time to compose, it turned out that I remembered much more about what those scores looked like than how they sounded. After a while my compositional goal became making something that looked like all the music that I had studied. My piece had to look ‘normal,’ like real, everyday, normal organ music. Hence the title — just some ‘ordinary’ organ music.
