In its first production outside the UK, Estonian National Ballet will present The Three Musketeers in a series of performances at Tallinn Opera House (pictured) running from April to December 2009. The ballet, based on Dumas’ classic swashbuckling tale set in seventeenth century France features choreography by David Nixon and a score by Malcolm Arnold which comprises many of the composer’s best-loved works. Following its premiere by Northern Ballet Theatre in 2006, the Telegraph wrote that “it is Arnold's cinematic soundtrack that makes this ballet a sweeping drama….”
