Vagn Holmboe

Danish DJ, composer and producer, Katrine Ring (b. 1960) is one of the few DJs on the international scene who specializes in classical music. On her new album – a Hand for Holmboe – she remixes and deconstructs a number of chamber concertos by composer Vagn Holmboe (1906-96.) The result is a musical hide-and-seek that breathes new life into the original compositions in a constant play of memory and recognition. The original recordings by the Danish National Chamber Orchestra and conductor Hannu Koivula are included as a bonus CD.
