BULAN (1990) for percussion solo (vibraphon and marimba).
”Bulan” (Moon in Bahasa Indonesia) for percussion solo (marimba and vibraphone) was composed in 1990, on request by Louise Lerche, for the 25th anniversary of the festival Lerchenborg Musikdage. Her idea was to ask several Danish composers to compose variations on the ´Moon´ movement of “The Planets” by the Danish composer Poul Rovsing Olsen (1922-1982). Gert Sørensen premiered the piece on Lerchenborg Castle in August 1990, and recorded the piece in 1995 for his CD of my percussion works (A Drummers Tale – Episode I. Gert Sørensen plays Per Nørgård)
