Programme Note
L´AMOUR LA POÉSIE (1967) – 5 songs for alto, baryton, piano (or harp). The sensual poems of the French surrealist Paul Eluard focus on things like “sleep”, “the raven”, “the orange-blue earth” and their relation to the bellowed one. The music is soft, restrained and the erotic intensity is hidden in the interwoven and embracing lines of the two singers. Dedicated to Helle. Per Nørgård (1967)
