• Roberto Sierra's Tropicalia rose like a brilliant vapor from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra....Sierra's harmonies and scoring are so resonant that it is impossible to stand outside the piece and merely listen. The music envelops, and not in some dreamy, easy-listening wash. Tropicalia is sensuous, mysterious, ecstatic, potent.
