John Harbison Symphony Cycle at the BSO


Maestro James Levine will lead the Boston Symphony in a complete cycle of the symphonies of John Harbison, spanning two seasons. The cycle will begin with Nos. 1, 2, and 3 in 2010-11, and culminating in the following season including the world premiere of the Symphony No. 6, newly commissioned by the BSO—an unprecedented opportunity to experience these exciting, colorful, varied, and instantly appealing contributions to the modern symphonic literature.
